How do i watch things on my computer on the tv.?

i DONT want to watch tv on my computer. i just want to watch a movie i downloaded on my computer on my tv. can you tell me what type of tv and computer and wires i need. plz and thank you!

your computer should have a VGA output, secondly you should have a video wire which can be connected to TV, and your TV also have a input same to your computer.
