I have a 2000(or so) Gateway Windows XP computer, as well as a 2003 Toshiba 50A61 Projection Television. How can I display my screen on the television? I want to watch movies and such on my computer, but from the leisure of my television.
I had Netflix before but canceled my membership because I couldn’t connect it to my computer!
Can anyone help me? It would be much appreciated!
And please be very descriptive, I am not a big techy!
Hm. Can I get some sort of an HDMI adapter?

do not answer just to gain points or b the first answerer..pls answer it properly.i want to control addictions-tv,computer,mobile chat,not to like the person who does not like me and study instead of wasting time.I can’t control my mind and force myself to do something even if I knw it is good for me.I feel like watching tv and sitting on computer everytime and wasting tym admiring myself in the mirror…help

Do I need other cables else well? When I connected the DVI and HDMI together and connected it to the TV, it said no signal. What else am I suppose to do? Do I need to change any settings on my PC? How do I get the picture to my TV?

ok so I have this tv

and I have a regular PC (toshiba if that matters)
I’m trying to convert the tv to a pc, (so that whatever shows in the pc will show on the tv)
My tv doesn’t have a SVGA cable cord part (http://www.whatdoesthatlooklike.com/images/svga-cable.jpg) so I cannot get the regular 2 sided svga cable….
I got svga to rca cable instead (http://www.1topstore.com/images/products_images/unfurl/vga-to-rca-cable-1652.jpg)
the guy at the electronics store said it will work, but when i connect it it doesn’t show anything on tv (I put it on dvd, video or any other channel still nothing)
I was wandering if I am doing something wrong…..
